Presentation Format

Oral presentations

Oral presentation time will be 12 minutes plus 3 minutes discussion.

Each session room contains a computer with USB port, PowerPoint-Software and AdobeAcrobat Reader, an auditory system and a presenter/laserpointer.

The presentation and all external files in the PowerPoint presentation (movies, sound files, etc.) have to been saved on a USB and each presenter has to bring it into the session room at least 30 minutes before start of the session.

If you use your own laptop, review the following: Authors can use their own laptops but should recognize that the additional setup cuts into presentation time. Presenters are encouraged to test their presentations prior to their session. Own laptops need to have a VGA or HDMI port.


Poster presentations

The poster session takes place on Monday, July, 25th 2016 (6:00pm- 8:00pm). It is an open presentation format without specific presentation times. Location of the poster session is the Lecture Hall 1 (H1).

The dimensions of your poster should be DIN A0 120cm (47in) height x 84cm (33in) cm width, in portrait format orientation.

There is an award for the best poster, rated by a jury, of the following categories:

Poster award presentation is on Tuesday, July 26th 2016 5:15 pm - 5:30 pm.

Please bring posters with you to the Congress. All poster presenters receive a poster number at the registration and can deposit the poster at registration/conference office. Removal and collection of posters at the end of the display period (until poster award) remains the responsibility of the author(s).


Practical Workshops 

The practical workshops take place in different rooms/gyms of the German Sport University Cologne. There is no extra registration necessary. Presenters will get further informations via the conference office separatly.


Keynote Lectures

Keynote lectures will be 45 minutes without additional time scheduled for discussion and questions. For the purpose of discussion and questions additional 45 minute "meet the expert" sessions are scheduled (see program overview for times and locations) for the individual keynote speaker.


Invited talks 

Invited talks are scheduled to be 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for discussion and questions (45 minute slots in total).

Program online

We are pleased to inform you that the detailed conference program is now online. If you have trouble finding your contribution, please log into your account and go to “My Abstract” in the “My conference” pull-down menu. By clicking onto the respective abstract you will see when your presentation is scheduled and in which session.

Due to many requests, the deadline for abstract submissions has been extended. Please submit your abstracts until 29th of February, 2016 at the latest.

Further information for abstract/workshop submissions

To submit abstracts or workshops please use the "my conference" button to add your single abstract (oral or practical presentation or poster) or your workshop (with the possibility to invite additional speakers). For single abstracts you will be asked to enter a title, author(s) and a plain text of maximum 300 words. You can not upload formatted documents. To submit a thematic workshop/symposia you have two options: As a symposia/workshop organizer you can create a symposia/workshop by entering title and a describtion of the whole symposia/workshop. Than you can invite the individual contributors to submit their abstracts for their own or you collect all individual abstracts and submit them together.

New manuscript: RQES on the top 10 research questions on TGFU

We are happy to announce a newly published manuscript in RQES on the top 10 research questions on TGFU which is intended to give some guidance to contributors in shaping an exciting and interesting conference in Cologne 2016. The content of the manuscript was based on the overarching conference themes that were established by the organizing team of the Institute of Team/Racket Sport Research in close collaboration with the scientific board of the conference. We are grateful to all the contributors and want to thank them for their valuable contribution.
