The German Sport University Cologne - the only sport university in Germany - lies in the west of Cologne, surrounded by the green yet still optimally tied to public transport and the motorway system. In the direct vicinity to the Rhein Energie Stadium and the Cologne City Forest, the Campus of short pathways offers ideal infrastructural requirements and recreation at the same time. 61.000 square meters on the Campus are available for the students.

You will find the German Sport University in Cologne-Müngersdorf, directly at the Sport Park Müngersdorf and the Rhein Energie Stadium. You can reach us via the A1, junction Cologne-Lövenich. First follow the signs to the Rhein Energie Stadium, then the sign for the German Sport University.

  • with public transport

Take the City Railway Line 1 - Junkersdorf/Weiden (respectively Brück/Bensberg when getting on the tram in Weiden/West) or busses of the KVB-Lines 141 / 143 / 144, the stop is Junkersdorf/Sporthochschule.

  • transfer from the airport

Take the City Railway (S-Bahn) S 13 to Messe/Deutz, then S-Bahn Line 1 (Junkersdorf/Weiden, stop Junkersdorf/German Sport University).

  • transfer from central station

From the central station in Cologne take the City Railway Line 16 or 18 to Neumarkt, change to Line 1 (direction Junkersdorf/Weiden), stop Junkersdorf/Sport University. At the station in Cologne/Deutz take the City Railway Line 1 (direction Junkersdorf/Weiden).

For further orientation, please use our site plan. To get on our Campus from the stop Junkersdorf/Sport University, please use the sidewalk between the street "Am Römerhof" and the building with the number 6, continue alongside this building (see site plan).

Further information for abstract/workshop submissions

To submit abstracts or workshops please use the "my conference" button to add your single abstract (oral or practical presentation or poster) or your workshop (with the possibility to invite additional speakers). For single abstracts you will be asked to enter a title, author(s) and a plain text of maximum 300 words. You can not upload formatted documents. To submit a thematic workshop/symposia you have two options: As a symposia/workshop organizer you can create a symposia/workshop by entering title and a describtion of the whole symposia/workshop. Than you can invite the individual contributors to submit their abstracts for their own or you collect all individual abstracts and submit them together.

New manuscript: RQES on the top 10 research questions on TGFU

We are happy to announce a newly published manuscript in RQES on the top 10 research questions on TGFU which is intended to give some guidance to contributors in shaping an exciting and interesting conference in Cologne 2016. The content of the manuscript was based on the overarching conference themes that were established by the organizing team of the Institute of Team/Racket Sport Research in close collaboration with the scientific board of the conference. We are grateful to all the contributors and want to thank them for their valuable contribution.
